Other Analysis

This section describes three analysis methods, based on the detection of spectral peaks, or the spectral envelope. Contrary to the other methods that were previously described, the results yielded by the analysis are not represented in the AudioSculpt interface. They are returned in an .sdif file, in the Spectral Estimates directory of the User Home folder. This file can then be used by other applications such as OpenMusic or Max/MSP. It can also be converted into a text file, via an SDIF Utility such as SDIF Converter, or SDIFToText.

The quality of the analysis depend on the specific parameters of each method, but also on the FFT settings.
