BPF Editor Visual Features

Access

Appearence Submenu

To modify the appearance of the BPF and editor, use the Appearance sub menu, in the contextual menu that opens

  • with a Ctrl click in the BPF,

  • with a click on the upper bar.

Several features of the editor can be modified :

  • Colours : background – Change Background Colour, line and integral (area between the BPF and the abscissa axis) – Change Colour .

  • Line thickness in pixels - Line Width

  • Items to display : points – knots, values – info, and grid . Note that control points cannot be hidden.

Example

We have suppressed the background colour, and chosen another colour for the BPF, with less opacity for the integral.

The grid, values and points, are not visible.

Opening a Treatment and Importing a BPF : Appearance

When a treatment with a BPF is saved and open again, or when a BPF is imported, its visual attributes are reset to default.

Treatment with Multiple BPFs

Some treatments can resort to more than one BPF. For instance, the transposition applies a BPF to the pitch, and a BPF to the envelope.

  • In this case, each BPF can be hidden or displayed if necessary.

  • The attributes of each BPF can be edited and visualized independently – except for the background colour.

Note that modifications of the background colour will affect the editor globally.

Selection of a BPF to Edit

By default, one BPF is always active and can be edited. To select the BPF you wish to edit, or check which BPF is active, Ctrl click in the editor and choose BPF TO Edit.

Hiding/Showing BPFs

To hide the inactive BPFs, Ctrl click again and select Hide Others.

To display the BPF(s) again, select Show All.

Edition of a Selected BPF

Even if all BPFs are displayed, the active BPF only can be edited.

Display

When all BPFs are displayed, the appearance options of the active BPF are prioritary. Nevertheless, the points and values of the inactive BPF will remain visible.

  1. The transposition BPF shows all the possible displaying options : grid, point and values. It is displayed alone.

  2. The envelope transposition BPF has no displaying options. It is displayed alone.

  3. Both BPFs are displayed, and the transposition BPF is selected.

  4. Both BPFs are displayed, and the envelope transposition BPF is selected. The points and values of the other BPF are visible anyway.
