Principle

ML2 allows users to manipulate, transform and organize musical objects. Elements such as chords, envelopes, and soundfiles can be extracted from their compositional environment and individually investigated. Once altered (a chord that has been arpeggiated or transposed, for instance), these elements can then be placed on a temporal axis and listened to in real-time with the "maquette" tool. This maquette space acts as a type of living score, offering users numerous avenues to directly act upon the composition itself.
