Introduction

Signal Analysis

This section deals with analysis leading to graphic representations. The description of the signal can then be used as a support for subsequent operations, such as compositional processes, treatments, etc. Sound analysis is performed by signal processing kernels that are executed by Audiosculpt. The 2 kernels  available in AudioSculpt are SuperVP for sound analysis and transformation as well as Pm2, for analysis synthesis using additive or sinusoidal model.

This section deals with the first type of analysis executed by the SuperVP kernel.

Two analysis of the same signal. The spectral envelope analysis gives us a visual representation of the spectrum, which can be inspected. The voiced/unvoiced analysis also describes the spectral content of the signal. It can also be edited as a BPF and applied as a treatment to another file for instance.
