Introduction

Parametric Values

When an annotation is selected, the Inspector window displays a MIDI Annotation label, and a number of parametric values that can be edited.

Parametric Values Information and Modification

Parametric Values

To edit a parametric value, click in the corresponding prompt and validate.

  • Start, time and duration  : these parameters apply to annotation as MIDI objects, or as surface filters.

  • Midi Note : a value between 0 and 127.

  • Velocity and Channel : a value between 0 and 127. These value will be stored in the .mid file but won't affect the filter.

  • Mute : this option allows to disactivate the annotation filter. The values of the annotation will be preserved in the .mid file.

The annotations will be updated automatically in the Sonogram window.

Multiple Selection

Although several annotations can be selected, the modifications will only apply to the last clicked item.

MIDI Annotations Specificities

Frequency Range

As MIDI objects, annotations always have a frequency range corresponding to a semi-tone. Consequently, contrary to surface filters, this value are not represented in the Inspector.

Velocity and Channel

The velocity is not represented in the window.

Each channel is represented by a different color.
