Once markers have been added in a sound file, regions can be extracted as new sound files, under the same format, no matter the type of markers have been added in the file.
With the pointer, double click between two markers to select a region. You can possibly Shift
click in adjacent regions to select them too.
Select the File/New Soundfile from Selection
menu.
Choose a name and location for the file. All the selected regions will be gathers in a single sound file, in the default Sounds
folder of the current User Home.
To create files from markers of the same type ignoring other possible markers located inbetween, it is necessary to hide other markers with the sonogram display.
Select the File/Create Soundfiles from Segments
menu.
Choose a location for the files. By default, the names of the resulting files consist of the original file name and a rank, such as: myfile0, myfile1 ... in the Sounds
folder of the current User Home.
The whole sound file will be cut into distinct chunks, from the beginning to the end. If two markers have been set, three sound files will be created. The new sound files are created without any distinction regarding the type of marker. |
The previous remark is also valid for this command.
